Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Committed to sustained academic excellence since 2003

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. In pursuance of NAAC directives, RPD College established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in 2003. It functions as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure on campus.

Objectives

The prime objective of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the overall performance of the institution.

Strategies

Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation.
Ensuring adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure.

Functions of the IQAC

Development and application of quality benchmarks / parameters for various academic and administrative activities.
Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
Organisation of workshops, seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles.
Documentation of programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC.
Organising orientation programmes for newly admitted students.
Organising orientation programmes for the Staff and the Administrative Staff.
Administering Feedback Mechanism for the College.
